Talking Therapies Volunteer

We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to support our Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies team, welcoming patients and visitors entering Trust sites, supporting the facilitation of psychoeducational workshops and courses and sharing service promotion materials to other organisations across the district to promote the service.

You will have good communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner.

Days/time commitment: 3 hours per week (Mon- Fri office hours only) (location and day/time dependent on group sessions)

Bradford District Care Trust welcome people from all backgrounds and is keen to reflect the population we serve. We are currently underrepresented in terms of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups, and so applications from these groups are encouraged to apply.

Applicants with lived experience of mental health challenges and those with community language skills, are also encouraged to apply.

As well as the completion of the online mandatory BDCFT Volunteer Induction, you are required to attend the following:

  • Volunteer Welcome Workshop . Please attend one of the following in Saltaire: Monday 24 June 12.00 – 2.30 Monday 29 July 10.00 – 12.30 Friday 30 August 10.00 – 12.30

Infection Prevention Training- Online 1st August – 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm

Breakaway training - Monday 29th July 1PM- 4pm

These training sessions must be completed for you to be able to progress into your volunteering role, so please make every effort to attend. If you have any problems, please speak with your Volunteer Coordinator.
