Breastfeeding Peer Support Volunteer (Community)
A Breastfeeding Peer Supporter is a mum of any age who has breastfed and/or provided breastmilk, whether in the past or currently, for her child/children.
This role is to support other families in the Bradford and Keighley area to have a positive breastfeeding experience and build close loving relationships with their baby (babies) by attending and providing support at one of our Baby Feeding Support Sessions at either :
Ravenscliffe BD10 Monday morning Bingley BD16 - Monday morning Silsden BD20 - Tuesday morning Wrose BD2 - Tuesday afternoon Keighley BD22 - Wednesday lunchtime Bradford BD6 - Thursday morning
You will enhance the breastfeeding support offered across the District from Midwives, Health Visitors and specialists.
We will provide a comprehensive breastfeeding peer support training program enabling you to support people with everyday normal breastfeeding situations.
As well as the completion of the online mandatory BDCFT Volunteer Induction, we run a face-to-face Volunteer Welcome Workshop.
