Opportunity image

We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to join our Health visiting team, supporting the community baby clinics. This role would suit someone who is looking to work in the NHS, or gain experience to allow them to apply for college or university.

The baby clinic volunteer will meet and greet parents and children on arrival at the clinic, help to complete the growth measurements and offer support to those who want to self-weigh. You will have good communication skills, allowing you to talk and listen to those who come to socialise and also, after initial training, you will be able to offer basic health promotion messages and share information on local activities.

This opportunity is currently only available on Thursday mornings at Shipley (BD18) Health Centre.

The selection meetings for this role will take place on the afternoons of Thursday 26th February and Thursday 5th March.

Before applying, we ask that volunteers consider their availability within the next few months- our opportunities are not short-term and recruitment checks can take around 2-3 months to complete.

These recruitment checks include DBS check, references, right to work and online training. You will also need attend a face-to-face Welcome Workshop and an Infection Prevention session.
